# Adding Any Monad Token

The Swap picker starts with the curated Monad token list, but any ERC-20 on Monad can be swapped, except coins from past Moments cohorts.

## The token picker

Tap either token on the Swap screen to open **Choose a Token**. The search field accepts a **symbol, name or address**.

* Tokens you hold float to the top of the list.
* As you type, matches from the Uniswap and Monday venue lists appear under **More Monad tokens**; after two or more characters Kuru's token directory is searched too.
* Paste a full contract address and the app reads its symbol, name and decimals on-chain and shows it under **By address**. Tap it to use it.

If nothing matches you'll see: *"No token matches. Paste a contract address to add any Monad token."*

## Tokens remembered for you

Tokens you pick in the Swap picker or swap into are remembered for your wallet and show up in the Swap picker, Home holdings and price alerts.

Other tokens the app finds in your wallet's history are marked **Unverified**, including coins you bought on the Launchpad or claimed from a Moment. They show that mark in your holdings. They stay out of the Swap picker's list and appear only when a search matches them, in an **Unverified — in your wallet** section with a warning. Completing a swap into one clears the mark.

## Coins from the Launchpad and Moments

* **Graduated Launchpad coins** trade through the pool their curve migrated into (Uniswap v4 or Monday Trade). The **Swap SYM on …** button on the coin's page opens Swap with the pair preselected.
* **Graduated Moment coins** from the current Moments release trade on Uniswap v4 against USDC at a 1.5% all-in fee. The **Trade $SYM** button on the Moment page opens Swap with USDC → coin. Coins from an earlier Moments release (a past cohort) can't be traded in the app: their token detail page shows "Past cohort · trading closed", and their Moment page reads "Past cohort — collecting closed", where holders can still claim their vested coins.
* Coins **still on their curve** are bought and sold on their Launch page, not in Swap; a coin's token page and your Portfolio holdings send you there. Coins still on a previous DyorHQ launchpad's curve can only be sold.

## A word of caution

DyorHQ shows on-chain metadata as-is. Anyone can deploy a token with any name and symbol. Check the address against an official source before swapping into an unfamiliar token, and watch the price impact figure.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://dyorhq.gitbook.io/docs/spot-trading/adding-tokens.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
